Handmade in Marriage is Pittsburgh’s indie wedding showcase.A fresh alternative to traditional wedding shows, this annual event provides a marketplace with more than 50 service providers, entertainers, designers, and artists who can provide a unique and locally sourced wedding. From the rehearsal dinner venue to photographer, baker and jewelry designer, Handmade in Marriage offers access to everything brides and grooms will need when decidedly planning for a personal touch to every detail for their big day.
In its second year, Handmade in Marriage provides an opportunity for local service providers, restaurants, boutiques, bakeries, artists and venues to showcase their offerings to brides and grooms to be, and is the only event of its kind in the Pittsburgh region. The event is a partnership between I Made It! Market, Pittsburgh’s nomadic indie crafts marketplace, and Wildcard, a gift and stationery shop with a focus on handmade goods, located in Lawrenceville.
In 2010, Handmade in Marriage brought together 23 local, independent vendors representing décor, baked goods, fashion, accessories, personalized favors, bath and body products, photographers, jewelry designers, letterpress printers, venues, entertainers and even more. Each vendor offered their expertise and met with visitors, providing the opportunity to establish relationships that could lead to successfully executed weddings.
Join us on Saturday, May 21 at the Teamsters Building, 4701 Butler Street, Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh from 12 – 5 pm to mix and mingle with more than 50 local businesses ready to make your big day the best experience of your life. This event is free to attend. For more information or to become an exhibitor, visit www.handmadeinmarriage.com.
