Brenna Sweetman Jewelry
My name’s Brenna Sweetman, I’m currently a sophomore and environmental studies major at the University of Pittsburgh and have enjoyed making beaded and silver jewelry since about age thirteen. My dad paid for most of his college and graduate studies through jewelry making and was able to finish school with no student loans. Now I have begun to follow his footsteps. His hobby of creating beautiful, sterling jewelry looked so effortless and easy, but I soon learned it wasn’t as simple as it seemed.
Through the patience and guidance from my dad, I’ve created and sold beaded and sterling earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings at local craft fairs. Recently I’ve loved designing with a new and unique medium; peacock feathers. The light and elegant peacock feather earrings I create are feathers from my family’s own peacocks that we have at our farm in southern Chester County, PA. I think my passion for the environment and natural world can be seen through my simple yet elegant jewelry designs.
