Corks for the Laboratory

corks for the laboratory, is an ever-changing lineup of photo frames, jewelry holders and other housewares created from reclaimed wood and metal.  I began creating picture frames about five years ago from some plaster lathe reclaimed from a home remodeling project.  Since then, I have expanded into other sources of reclaimed and scrap wood to try to divert as much as possible from the waste stream.
Each piece includes a short description of where the lumber and other materials came from–a link to the past.  oh, the name ‘corks for the laboratory’ comes from an ancient box of lab supplies found in an old biology department storeroom.
