Diane Wright Designs creates handcrafted jewelry specializing in off-loom bead-woven bracelets and necklaces as well as hammered sterling silver cuff bracelets and pendants.

My off- loom woven bracelets include Japanese seed beads as a base and are embellished with Swarovski crystals, pearls, buttons, semi-precious stones and other found pieces.  I use a number of traditional bead weaving stitches including the Native American peyote stitch and the South African herringbone stitch.   I get my inspiration from the world around me – from nature and from the city and work organically to create the design and then weave the beads with artistic technique and precision.

My metal cuffs and pendants are designed using clean, simple lines. I begin with sterling silver and/or copper and cut, file, sand, texture, and form.  Pieces are then tumbled to polish.  Some pieces also incorporate cabochons or mixed metal and soldered designs.

I like to select high quality materials with which to design.  I use a design process that incorporates artistic elements (texture, color, line, shape, & space) that work in synergy with each other.  I revise my designs until they are pleasing both to the eye and touch the emotions.  Jewelry enhances a mood and creates a look.  My desire is that each piece that I create becomes a piece of wearable art that its owner will be proud to wear for many years to come.
