Lunatique was created in 2006 by Donna Tarkett, in Pittsburgh PA.¬† From its inception, the focus at Lunatique has been to create quality, eco-friendly, unique items from recycled materials.¬† From dolls to the original Little Loli dresses to cloth diapers, Lunatique has found more uses for recycled tshirts then seem possible.¬† The artist scours thrift shoppes, searching for the perfect tshirts to be transformed into the items you see in the store.¬† Much care is taken in the combination of fabrics and in designing the clothing.¬† Little Loli dresses are a Lunatique original, with the pattern and design being straight from the artist‚Äôs imagination.¬† Little girls all over Pittsburgh are sporting these unique and funky dresses, made from recycled tshirts.¬† Lunatique’s cloth diapers, Rock Bottoms, are crafted from secondhand band tshirts and were a big hit when introduced in 2006…after taking a break from making them, the artist has decided to bring them back this summer!¬† Look for them again at the South Side Works Exposed show!
