Pin-Up Girl Designs

Anna Montano started Pin-Up Girl Designs 5 years ago. Motivated and inspiredby the iconic pin-ups of the 1950s and 1960, she started designing her own jewelry, collecting beads from off-beat places to create unique pieces. A life-long flea market junkie, Anna would find vintage jewelry pieces, clip it apart, and combine it with newer components to make a one-of-a-kind piece.

A self-taught sewer, Anna wanted to take her designing capabilities one step further, and decided to try something different. Always a handbag enthusiast, Anna decided to try her hand at making her own. She began collecting rare vintage fabrics and vintage-reproduction fabrics to create unique, stylish handbags and clutches. Many of her pieces are one-of-a-kind.
Creating stylish items for adults wasn’t quite enough, so Anna also began creating fun accessories and toys for babies and small children. A kid at heart, Anna channels her inner child to create “usable art” for kids and mothers. This includes changing pads and bibs, as well as play foods made from felt.
Anna has participated in many craft shows, including the I Made It Market and other indie markets and craft shows. She assisted in an exhibit at the Children’s Museum, and participated as an instructor to help children learn to make their own sewing projects.
