I started sewing shortly after my daughter was born, partially out of boredom, partially because I was curious if I could actually teach myself something new and foreign. I did! I create hats and other clothes out of recycled wool sweaters, vintage buttons, recycled fabric, and paint. I love to give new life to things that would otherwise end up in the landfill. I went to college in New Orleans but spent most of my time absorbing the eclectic style and color of the city. That style is reflected in my colorfully crazy designs. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and lived in Birmingham, AL for 2 years until my husband’s job took my family to Rochester, NY.
