I’ve been living and weaving in Pittsburgh for about 25 years. Through many moves, school, jobs, and children, I’ve always carried a loom along with me. Now, I’m lucky to weave as a business, Currently, II am weaving ReNews Rugs from recycled newspaper bags and other handwovens with recycled or repurposed materials, like old jeans. This combines my two passions – weaving and environmentalism. Each ReNews Rug takes about 150 plastic bags out of the waste stream and since these rugs are pretty durable…for a long time!
