Xmittens

Xmittens

In 2004, I started making Xmittens fingerless gloves to keep warm in my cold studio. In the years before I had just graduated from college, survived a terrible car accident and learned how to walk again, and was totally unsure of what to do next. So…as I tried out new crafty things just to protect my own sanity, I realized a) Xmittens are totally practical b) I am thoroughly addicted to them c) other people LOVE Xmittens, too.

Soon after I realized this and that I really like a lot of the creative stuff involved with running my own business, Xmittens (pronounced Ex-mittens) were successfully selling in local boutiques and online. Recently, Pittsburgh Today Live featured me and my fashion lines (check it out at: http://kdka.com/video/?id=74557), American Idol Finalist Jackie Tohn was seen wearing Xmittens last winter and the American Music Awards 2009 gift bags had some Xmittens swag in them. Awesome! Now, people in 23 countries and 49 states (come on, Hawaii!) wear Xmittens indoors and outdoors and while biking, typing, crafting and more!
