We are looking for:

There are many opportunities within our organization to engage in writing, public relations and communications activities. We plan multiple events each month and provide publicity for our participating artists, our WorkShops, and the events themselves. In addition, we produce a email newsletter, pitch stories to local and national media and recruit new artists. We are currently expanding our public relations services and have many projects for a skilled intern to dig into and put his or her personal touch to.
Our Writing/PR/Blogging/Communications intern will participate in team meetings, engage in brainstorming, cultivate new partner organizations and assist in our social media activities. This person should be a “people person” who enjoys making new connections are events and helping as a “face” of I Made It! Market.
Graphic Design Position/ Web Design
I Made It! Market is in need of an intern with an eye for design. We produce videos to promote our market and artists, design flyers, produce in-house design pieces unique to each event and are looking to update our web design. This individual should have a passion for handmade and an understanding of web design and content management systems.
Our Graphic Design intern will participate in team meetings, engage in brainstorming and work with us at events to ensure a positive experience for both artists and visitors.
Event Planning Position
I Made It! Market plans multiple events each month. Each event has many moving pieces and we are looking for an intern who is excited to jump in and get to organizing. Our Event Planning Intern will work closely with the lead organizers to initiate and confirm new events, create new programming, strengthen existing partner relationships and puzzle all of the pieces together that make for a successful event. This individual should enjoy meeting new people, working with challenging situations (each market has a “challenge”) and be extremely organized.
Our Event Planning intern will participate in team meetings, engage in brainstorming and work with us at all events (according to his/her availability) to further brand the organization and create a positive and crafty experience for artists and visitors.

Internships are currently unpaid. However, we are able to work with your university to help you along any credit program and have done so for several interns in the past. I am interested in the Events Planner Internship position but my question I guess is- if I was an intern does that mean I couldnt be an a vendor at a craft event?…I am looking at all my options in this place where I am at on my journey in life.
Please let me know…also do I need to send a resume?
Thanks
Sara Riddle
Hi Sara – send us your resume to info@imadeitmarket.com. Interns can also apply and be accepted to vend at markets. They will go through the same process as other artists. Looking forward to receiving your info.

Approximately how many hours per week would the positions entail?
Hi Heather – we are very flexible depending on the intern’s needs. Also we are happy to make it work if you are looking for credit for a university.
